Method Man über Wu-Massacre: “Def Jam hat uns unter Druck gesetzt und wir haben keine finanzielle Unterstützung gekriegt”
Am 26. März wird das neue Album “Wu-Massacre” der drei Wu-Tang Mitglieder Method Man, Raekwon und Ghostface Killah erscheinen. Meth hat in einem aktuellen Interview über ihre Situation gesprochen und sagte, dass ihr Label “Def Jam” sie unter Druck gesetzt hätte, ohne ihnen wirklich unter die Arme zu greifen. Außerdem wurde ihnen gar kein Geld zu Verfügung gestellt, wie Rapbasement.com berichtete:
“Wir machen diese LP nicht um zu gewinnen. Wir wollen Wu-Tang nicht in den Vordergrund stellen. Wir machen das nicht um die Gruppe zu retten. Der Hauptgrund der LP sind die Fans, die das schon immer wollten. Def Jam hat uns aber unter Druck gesetzt. Wir hatten wenig Zeit um daran zu arbeiten. Wir haben ohne Budget aufgenommen. Es ist wie es ist. Wir haben es für die Fans getan. Es hat sich klasse angefühlt mit Rae und Ghost im Studio zu sein. Die Zukunft sieht super aus.”
Hoffen wir doch, dass die Jungs auch unter Zeitdruck und ohne Budget ein hochwertiges Album abliefern werden!
